Portland, OR - April 18, 2002 Inspiration Software®, Inc. has been honored with dual Best Educational Software Awards (BESSIES) for Inspiration and Kidspiration. Inspiration, used by students in grades 6-12 to develop ideas and organize thinking, was awarded in the Learning Tools category for High School. This year's marks Inspiration's fifth consecutive BESSIE Award. Kidspiration, designed to help K-5 students build strong thinking skills with visual learning, won in the Thinking Skills category for Upper Elementary. This marks the second consecutive BESSIE Award for Kidspiration.
ComputED Learning Center, San Diego's leading computer education resource, and the Educational Software Preview Service of the San Diego Center for Educational Technology (a nonprofit organization) annually present the BESSIE Awards to recognize innovative and content rich programs and provide parents and teachers with a guide to the best children's educational software currently available.
