Inspiration Software has received 2002-2003 Best Educational Software Awards (BESSIES) for its products, Inspiration and Kidspiration. ComputED Learning Center and the Educational Software Preview Service of the San Diego Center for Educational Technology present the annual BESSIE Awards to recognize innovative and content rich programs and provide parents and teachers with a guide to the best children's educational software currently available.

Inspiration 7, the newest version of the company's flagship visual learning software for students grades six through adult, received the BESSIE Award in the "Learning Tools" category for High Schools. Kidspiration, designed to help students in kindergarten through fifth build strong thinking skills with visual learning, was the winner in the "Thinking Skills" category for Upper Elementary Schools. This is the sixth consecutive year that Inspiration has received this honor and the third year for Kidspiration.
