PORTLAND, OR — Oct. 18, 2004 Inspiration Software®, Inc. is honored to receive a 2005 Teachers’ Choice Award for Kidspiration® 2. Released in January 2004, Kidspiration 2 offers more visual ways to help K-5 students build emerging literacy skills.
The 11th annual Teachers' Choice Awards are presented by Learning Magazine, and the complete list of award recipients will be published in the January 2005 issue. This year's contest included submissions from over 430 products, from which 67 winners were chosen based on their scores from evaluations done during actual classroom use by a panel of PreK-6 teachers around the country. The products are evaluated on quality, instructional value, ease of use, and innovation.
Created for K-5 learners, Kidspiration provides an easy way to apply the proven principles of visual learning. Students build graphic organizers by combining pictures, text and spoken words to represent thoughts and information. Kidspiration 2, the visual way to think, write and comprehend, offers more ways to help students improve standards-based skills with new capabilities, such as the Symbol Maker drawing tool, expanded SuperGrouper® options and paired pictures and words in Writing View.
