PORTLAND, OR — April 25, 2005 Inspiration Software®, Inc. announced today that Kidspiration® 2 was selected for the Media & Methods 2005 Awards Portfolio. This year's winners represent the best educational products recently released for K-12 schools. Kidspiration was chosen in the Software category.
Media & Methods magazine has been in circulation for 40 years. The editorial focuses on practical ways technology can be used for teaching and learning in K-12 classrooms and labs. For the 2005 Awards Portfolio, educator judges across the country made product selections based on a set of objective criteria, including interest level, clarity of educational objectives, user-friendliness, and overall strengths and weaknesses. Winners will be acknowledged in the May/June 2005 issue of Media & Methods magazine and on the website at www.media-methods.com.
Originally released in 2001, Kidspiration provides an easy way to apply the proven principles of visual learning. Students build graphic organizers by combining pictures, text and spoken words to represent thoughts and information. Kidspiration 2 offers more ways to help students improve standards-based skills with new capabilities, such as the Symbol Maker drawing tool, expanded SuperGrouper® options and paired pictures and words in Writing View.
