PORTLAND, OR—August 8, 2005
Inspiration Software®, Inc. recently earned The National Parenting Center's 2005 Seal of Approval for its visual learning tools, Inspiration® 7.6, Kidspiration® 2.1, Inspiration® for Palm OS® and Inspiration® for Pocket PC.
This marks the 4th version of Inspiration, the premier tool to develop ideas and organize thinking, to receive the Seal of Approval. Kidspiration, the visual way to think, write and comprehend, has received the Seal of Approval on two prior occasions. Released in January 2005, updated versions Inspiration 7.6 and Kidspiration 2.1 offer enhanced compatibility with emerging classroom technologies, such as interactive whiteboards and Tablet PCs.
This is the first Seal of Approval for Inspiration Software's new handheld offerings, Inspiration for Palm OS, released in May 2004, and Inspiration for Pocket PC, released in June 2005. Inspiration for handhelds combines the learning benefits of Inspiration with the natural ease of handhelds, offering students and educators a familiar tool for gathering information and developing ideas.
Testing for The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval is a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period. Staffed by volunteers, the testing facility of The National Parenting Center gives parents, children and educators the opportunity to examine a variety of submitted products. The testers are encouraged to play with, build, read about and judge by the reactions of the children, each product's quality.
