PORTLAND, OR — August 11, 2006
Inspiration Software® was honored with three 2006 Education Software Review Awards (EDDIES) for its visual learning tools Kidspiration®, Inspiration® and Inspiration® for Palm OS®. Now in its 11th year, this annual awards program is presented by San Diego's ComputED Learning Center, and targets innovative and content-rich programs and websites which provide parents and teachers with the technology to foster educational excellence—including augmenting the classroom curriculum and improving teacher productivity. Winners are selected from titles submitted by software publishers around the world and selection is based on academic content, potential for broad classroom use, technical merit, subject approach and management system. All submitted titles are made available to school districts, teachers, and the public through ComputED and the Educational Software Preview Service of San Diego Center for Educational Technology (a nonprofit organization).

Inspiration 8, the latest version of the company's flagship visual learning software for students grades six through adult, received the EDDIE Award in the multi-level "Thinking Skills" category. Kidspiration 2.1, the visual way to think, write and comprehend for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, was the winner in the "Thinking Skills" category for upper elementary. This is the 11th consecutive year that Inspiration has received this honor and the sixth year for Kidspiration. Inspiration for Palm OS was also an EDDIE winner for a second time, this year in the PDA "Thinking Skills" category.
