PORTLAND, OR — June 19, 2007 Inspiration® 8, the essential tool to visualize, think, organize and learn, is the winner of a 2007 Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP). The visual learning software was honored as the best "Reading and Language Instruction Software for Grades 6-8."
Designed to offer one convenient place for students to successfully plan, research and complete projects, Inspiration Software's® flagship visual learning software provides powerful support for critical thinking, comprehension and writing in all curriculum areas.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Distinguished Achievement Awards recognize the best educational materials — such as books, periodicals, educational toys and software — within subject categories and by audience.
"We are very proud of Inspiration 8 and the innovative ways that teachers around the world are using it to help their students build the thinking skills necessary for 21st century success," said Mona Westhaver, president and co-founder, Inspiration Software. "It is exciting to have our visual learning software recognized by the educational publishing community."
