PORTLAND, OR - October 1, 2001 Inspiration Software®, Inc. today announced it has been awarded the EdNET Pioneer award and has also been recognized by eSchool News magazine as a winner of its annual Readers' Choice Award.
The EdNET Pioneer Awards recognize those organizations that make significant contributions to the growth of the educational technology market. Nelson B. Heller & Associates named Inspiration Software winner of the Pioneer Award for a for-profit organization in a ceremony held September 11 at the EdNET 2001 conference in Washington D.C. Last year, Inspiration Software was awarded with the organization’s HERO award, recognizing it for making significant contributions to education through educational technology.
"The EdNet Pioneer award is one of the highest honors in educational technology," said Inspiration Software president Mona Westhaver. "We are proud to be recognized by leaders in education for our commitment to furthering educational technology and making significant contributions to the growth of this market."
Inspiration Software was also honored with an eSchool News Readers' Choice Award in its multidisciplinary curriculum software category. In a survey of K-12 instructors, Inspiration Software was, according the publication, "a runaway winner." Chosen by those who use education technology on a daily basis, the reward reflects cross-curricular tools that exhibit true success in the classroom.
